CANCELED: As most Midwesterners lean back in their chair today and sigh, "whelp, we really needed the moisture," I'm sad to report our season kickoff at Branched Oak for maintenance and laps is cancelled. The trail is too wet from the rain last night. More rain forecasted throughout the night/day will make our efforts ineffective. Enjoy your weekend. On the first Wednesday of each month, LCMTB coaches will be on hand for a little Hot Laps at Van Dorn Park. This is a new feature this season specifically for students that need a chance to build up endurance close to the City. We will have lap plans for our Gold – Silver – Black ride groups. NICL races range from 30-90 minutes depending on your category. Most practices are broken up into skills, riding, games. Hot Laps Wednesday will be just laps and ride groups will go out together, rest together, do the next set together, etc for about an hour and a half. We’ll get a really good sense of pacing and see how that progresses over the season. |
