Try it Out events are the perfect opportunity for new registered students and interested students to get introduced to LCMTB Team.
Meet at Van Dorn Park to meet up with other female teammates, coaches and parents. Ride bikes, enjoy games and snacks. Bring a friend who might want to check out the team.
Join your team for one last practice session at Van Dorn Park starting at 5:30 p.m. Fun games with mini pumpkins and witches broomsticks. Complete a Trick of hill repeats and go home with stroopwaffle and hot cocoa Treats. It's all in a good good night's work. Bring front and rear lights for night riding until 7:30.
Van Dorn Park to Pioneers Park (First Thursday)
Practice will end at 8 pm tonight. Due to the poor air quality today (from smoke up North), we will pivot our activities this evening at Van Dorn Park, and shorten our time. Instead of riding hot laps, we plan on painting our gnomes and bike maintenance. Please bring bikes and things needed for fixing flats, and multi-tools too if you have them. We understand if kids won't be able to make it, especially those affected by the air quality.
LCMTB coaches will be on hand for a little Hot Laps at Van Dorn Park. This is specifically for students that need a chance to build up endurance.
Van Dorn Park to Pioneers Park (First Thursday)
On the first Wednesday of each month, LCMTB coaches will be on hand for a little Hot Laps at Van Dorn Park. This is a new feature this season specifically for students that need a chance to build up endurance close to the City. We will have lap plans for our Gold – Silver – Black ride groups. NICL races range from 30-90 minutes depending on your category. Most practices are broken up into skills, riding, games. Hot Laps Wednesday will be just laps and ride groups will go out together, rest together, do the next set together, etc for about an hour and a half. We’ll get a really good sense of pacing and see how that progresses over the season.
