Nebraska DEVO will host a pre-season DEVO event at Trago Park. Lancaster Composite Coaches and returning high school students will be on-site to volunteer support for this special collaboration with the Malone Center. New students can join the fun with skill zones, bike games, and a raffle.
Lancaster Composite Mountain Bike Team will join THOR (Trails Have our Respect) to lend a hand maintaining the Van Dorn Park single track trail. Come learn about how trail maintenance and trail features are planned or bring your gloves and tools to pitch in for some fun volunteer labor. Students and parents of Lancaster Composite can attend all or part of the activities planned. Group instruction, waivers, and distribution will occur on the hour.
Lancaster Composite Families are invited to join the third annual Food Truck Fun Ride from Van Dorn Park to Twisters Corner outside Pioneers Park. This social ride is for everyone and is hosted by and for our team families.
CANCELED: As most Midwesterners lean back in their chair today and sigh, "whelp, we really needed the moisture," I'm sad to report our season kickoff at Branched Oak for maintenance and laps is cancelled. The trail is too wet from the rain last night. More rain forecasted throughout the night/day will make our efforts ineffective. Enjoy your weekend. We'll see you Wednesday and/or Thursday next week.

Van Dorn Park to Pioneers Park (First Thursday)
We looked into renting a few dozen hair dryers today so volunteers could go air out the trail after the deluge this morning. Thankfully the race director recognized the futility of this endeavor and just elected to postpone the event and reschedule it for the same time next Saturday.
Van Dorn Park to Wilderness Park
Our team volunteered to support a mountain bike race on the 15th at Branched Oak Area 7 (BO7). We need your help for early morning setup and mid-day teardown. This is a fundraising activity for our team and needs 10-12 helpers for a couple hour shifts.
Densmore Park to Wilderness Park

Meet your teammates at Branched Oak Lake for the second annual Tellinghuisen Time Trial*. This event is built around the need to get new athletes comfortable riding closer to race pace using all the skills they have learned so far.
