The Lancaster Composite MTB (LCMTB) Team is a youth mountain biking team composed of student athletes in grades 5-12 from Lancaster County, Nebraska. Along with Lincoln Public School students, we’ve had teammates from Malcolm, Waverly, Norris, home education and others from our surrounding areas. This is what makes us “Composite” and it is a beautiful experience. We are One Team and we are here for the Dirt Vibes and Trail Rides!
How it Started
Our team competes in the Nebraska Interscholastic Cycling League as a part of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). Founded in 2020 with a handful of dedicated coaches and nine student athletes, Lancaster Composite MTB Team has grown quickly to serve 48 student athletes with more than 20 coaches last season.
How It's Going
We project enrollment to exceed 60 students and 30 coaches for Season VI as we invite 5th grade students to the NICA community for the first time, leverage our previous successes, and build new community partnerships with families, businesses, and foundations.
